L'agriturismo
The
“Agriturismo Rifugio del Anima” is located in Monticello d’Alba (
Cuneo), a village is typical for the lower Piedmont. The area is
called “Roero”.
Monticello is about 6 Miles from Alba, where the famous truffles
fair takes pace every year and 6 Miles from Bra which is famous
for the international cheese fair held by the “Slow Food”
movement.
“Rifugio dell’Anima” is
situated on a hill called “Bricchi” surrounded by vineyards and
wooded countryside, chestnut and oak trees.
In this peaceful and
tranquilly atmosphere you can admire Langa’s hills and Roero’s
villages and have a majestic view of the Alps and enjoy .the
beautiful colours of the sunsets in every seasons…
From the balcony you can
see the Roero famous castle which is about 700 mt. away. Built in
the XI century it’s still in a very good condition. It’s open to
visitors in spring and autumn.The farm house stands alone in the
hills and it’s an ideal place for nature lovers.
You can walk on the road S4 and reach in a short time Monticello ,Corneliano,Santa
Vittoria; walking trough vineyards and woods .
Near the house there is a
chapel, it was built in the 1950 and is dedicated to the Virgin
Mary.
You can really enjoy the
nature around with the singing of the birds and see the red
squirrel and the roe –buck.
Sometimes in the sky a
buzzard is flying like a guard .
THE ROOMS
The house itself was build
over a countryside farm from the 1886 and we tried to maintain the
original characteristics .The house has got 3 rooms (9 beds).
The breakfast room has a
wooden roof and a wooden ceiling it has a big central window with a
wide view over the valley and the castle :the right place to rest
and read a book that you might choose from our small library.
The house was built using
mostly wood to keep harmony with the nature.
Natural wood fibres were
used for isolation for walls, floors and the attic.
Windows and doors are
completely made out of wood as well.
To take care of the
environment is one of our main goal ,we care about air and acoustic
pollution.

Here you can taste and buy
products as fruit, vegetables, honey, cheese and vine
All our products are
cultivated based on the natural cycle of the plant.
You can also hire a mountain
bike for your excursion.

How to reach us
When you come out from the motor way Asti-Alba take the exit after
Castagnito direction BRA-CUNEO follow the main street until you
will reach Monticello D’Alba ,turn after Prealpina on your right
direction Monticello ,follow the street until you come to a
roundabout take the second exit and follow the main street .You will
leave on your right side Monticello Borgo and after you reach a
second roundabout. Take the first exit direction S:Antonio and
Valdoza turn right after about 50 yards direction VALDOZA follow
the street up the hill and then you will find to your left the sign
“Rifugio dell’anima”.
